Heavy Machinery Fabrication Plant

Located in Adana as part of Simgetek's long-term production strategy, our Heavy Machinery Fabrication Plant is in operation and is our main facility for heavy, high-tonnage welded fabrication (up to 300 tons per item of equipment).

Established in 2018 on a 20,000 m² site, the facility was purpose-designed for the fabrication of large and heavy components, bringing welded fabrication, heat treatment and machining together in a single integrated production environment.

FACILITY INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure Designed
for Heavy Fabrication

The facility was planned around the requirements of heavy fabrication: wide, high bays, high crane capacities and large door dimensions that allow equipment to be fabricated and shipped in a single piece where the design permits.

  • 20,000 m² enclosed site —
14,500 m² covered fabrication area and 5,500 m² open area
  • 3 bays; each 24 m wide and 120 m long, with hook heights of 16 m and 12 m respectively
3 bays - 2 bays welded fabrication, 1 bay machining
  • Hydraulic Dishing Press; maximum pressing force 1,000 tons, max. Ø9,000 mm, distance between columns 9,250 mm
  • 1 bay; 20 m wide and 50 m long, with hook heights of 16 m and 12 m respectively
  • 9 overhead cranes; maximum lifting capacities 1×100 tons, 3×50 tons, 3×30 tons, 1×20 tons and 1×10 tons
  • 8 m × 8 m door dimensions — six (6) doors
  • 2 gantry cranes; maximum lifting capacity 30 tons, hook height 12 m, service areas 1,000 m² and 2,400 m²

Integrated Heat Treatment

Post-weld heat treatment is carried out in-house; large equipment therefore does not need to be shipped to outside facilities, and the entire fabrication process remains under Simgetek's control.

Machining Bay

The facility has a dedicated machining bay equipped with high-capacity machining centres.

This allows welded structures to be finish-machined in-house to the required dimensional and geometric tolerances.

Materials and Fabrication Scope

The facility fabricates both carbon steel and stainless steel, and heavy welded, high-tonnage structures form the core of its production programme. Thanks to its bay dimensions and crane capacities, the facility is not bound by the usual part weight or size limitations.

Annual Capacity

  • Equipment and pressure vessels: 4,000 – 7,000 tons/year
  • Tank pre-fabrication: 10,000 – 13,000 tons/year
  • Structural steel: 10,000 – 15,000 tons/year
  • Pipe spool fabrication: 230,000 – 300,000 WDI/year

An Investment Built for Long-Term Growth

The Heavy Machinery Fabrication Plant reflects the importance Simgetek places on infrastructure investment, manufacturing excellence and sustainable growth.

Combining large-scale fabrication capability, integrated heat treatment and in-house machining with an experienced team, Simgetek serves as a single-source solution partner for equipment that requires complex, heavy fabrication for industrial projects.
